Synopsis
The Crush is a tale of forbidden love, with detailed erotic action and strong elements of faith and the supernatural. A guy and a girl live in two distinctly separate worlds-in life spheres banned from intersecting and joining as one. Although the socio-cultural chasm is so deep and wide that they're terrified to draw near, irresistible desires and feelings work to bridge barriers-leading to an intense emotional and sexual confrontation. Underlying the excitement of the tale is a serious treatment of sexual, social, political and spiritual issues.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your readers with this design?
I'd like readers to be intrigued by the beauty of the art on the cover. I want it to contribute to the impact of the story and ideas I'm providing and help give the reader the best possible overall experience. I want the cover to increase the value of the book, to be a substantial part of the literary work of art.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
I've provided an image of the characters, with good colors, that can be used as a model. The surrounding scene is not as colorful, is muted in nature, and the colors are up to the artist.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your design?
No restrictions.
Describe the style(s) you like (traditional, modern, etc.)
Impressionist painting would be best for the front cover, but I'd consider any type of artwork. The back cover can use art, a photo, or a screenshot (I've provided one screenshot).
What I need is print book cover in a file type that can be used by Amazon, and an ebook cover (in appropriate file type) that is actually the front cover of the print book. I don't need any other type of files, unless another file type is needed to use as an illustration on my website. There are extensive instructions provided for both the front and back covers. The back cover should be easy, so I think almost all of the work will be on the front cover.
What content must be included in your design?
Please open up the zip file I've included and start with Item # 1, the Instructions. These will guide you through the other items in the file, which are numbered and opened up as you read the Instructions. Doing my art should be as easy as picking daffodils in the Spring! But it has GOT to be good!
NOTE: Please leave space for a 2" by 1.2" white box in the lower right-hand corner of the book's back cover for the ISBN barcode. Images or text in the barcode location will be covered when the book is printed. Make sure you don't have any important elements where the barcode will be placed. - Dear Creatives:
In every entry to date none of the creatives has followed my instructions to the letter and met my requirements. Nevertheless some fine concepts and art have been provided. At this point I think it would be better to allow creatives to play to their strengths in creating a scene, or altering the scene I have provided in my sketch, and use their talents and experience as they see fit to maximize their potential contribution.
So, I am removing most of the limitations on the nature of the scene and the style of the artwork. You can change both entirely if you wish. The characters would almost certainly have to be included-that is about the only requirment; however you can put them in different attitudes or activities, such as walking. The idea is that the three are enjoying a day out together.
