What do you do?

Online financial publication for the individual.

The publication aims to be an inspirational online site to help individuals find alternative income streams and investments strategies.

How many pages of print design do you need?

I need a E-book front cover. Would also like to have some examples of what it looks like as a 3D book to go on my sales pitch page; so also need side and back images...Also need a header for a landing page which can have trace elements from the coverdesign in it (Name of book on artwork background)

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?

The E-book is all about how to create a major change in your life.

1/ It will aim to teach the reader how you can free yourself from your current job and make a new and different future for yourself. (dynamism/motion)
2/ How to find that 'fork' in the road and take the first steps in that new direction. (elegant cool - simple, slick and appealing)
3/ Hope for a new and better future...(adventurous and a bit fantastical. )

What print design styles do you like?

I like the 'retro' look of the 1920's. (Art Deco) I love the way they evoke change, exploration, hope and possibilities.
You had some logo designs for another customer (Ride?) where there was an image of a locomotive from the 20's...nice...So, would love something along those lines I think...perhaps even using locomotives heading towards a track junction, with smoke and speed etc...(or a classic car or motorcycle...)

What colors do you want to see in your print design?

Open for suggestions...perhaps something of this era?...If anything : some red (eye catching focus area...)
I would like to have quite a lot of white left on the cover, so not all colour please...
Pref.: sparing in color and detail.

What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?

I would prefer that there are fewer colours; maximum 3 used...

What adjectives should best describe your print design?

Fairly bold and sparing in detail / minimalist.
We'd like the design to evoke feelings of being whisked-off on a wild and powerful journey into a better future...

How will you use the print design?

1/E-book cover; It will be used to portray a path change in your life...
NB! It will be the first of three books on the same topic. I would therefore like that the winning designer can rework the initial coverdesign and make two more along the same lines at a later stage...
2/Header for a landing page. Part-image + name of book...
I would LOVE it if the title of the book had like a 3D feel to it...like an image I saw in the 'RIDE' project I mentioned earlier where the name 'RIDE' had a spotlight shining on it creating a shadow effect on the 'wall' behind. Really nice for the header! See link:
