What do you do?

We provide a fun-filled and fulfilling program for public schooling girls who are approaching their 12th birthday (known as Bat Mitzvah) 'coming of age'. Consists of monthly club meetings with lots of fun, food, and friends...with meaningful insightful discussions, activities, crafts, games and trips as part of discovering 'who i am,' giving the girls a great feeling about themselves, empowering them to be confident, proud jewish women; exploring their heritage, history, customs, identity, etc. This program addresses all of a young teen's needs at this pivotal time in their lives, while imparting to them morals and values in a way that they love it. We facilitate the Club Leaders user-friendly attractive materials, and we enhance the Club Members' experience by creating exciting educational/fun materials. Exclusive to girls - moms are sometimes invited! - this is a club for girls, starring girls, run by girls. We are global and aim to get the attention of all modern 11-12 year old girls who are jewish, but know absolutely nothing about their jewish identities. See us on the web at www.batmitzvahclub.com.

Describe the target audience for your print design

11-12 year old modern (mostly American) girls all around the globe, who like a sophisticated feel with a touch of fun.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?

1. We think you're at a great age, filled with power and energy.
2. You matter to us!
3. We know you have lots to write about: while being in the BMC where you're discovering many new things about yourself, getting to know the real YOU.
4. We know you like to be regarded as older than your real age.
5. We know exactly what you're thinking/feeling/wanting/missing/liking/disliking etc. - we 'get' you!
6. We know the styles you go for.

What print design styles do you like?

styles that appeal to tween girls around the world, mostly American. A classy, sophisticated feel with a touch of great color and fun. Although I like denim, I don't want the grungie look. It can be a classy denim, can be a different color denim than the usual blues (printer will send me swatches of what's available...). I like nice effects, such as raised lettering or raised images. Maybe something glittery. Depends on the design you come up with. Want something quite different, novel, from the usual.

What colors do you want to see in your print design?

nothing serious, dark, old/adult, drab, boring.

What adjectives should best describe your print design?

sophistication, class, fun, fresh, interesting, different.

How will you use the print design?

This is going to be a cover for a very popular BMC Journal that 11/12 yr old girls around the world will be using. I want it to be something that will lay around a living room and anyone passing by and picks it up, will say: "wow, this looks great! this program looks phenomenal. So professional! I must tell (my daughter, my niece, my friend, neighbor) about this!"
The girls/families keep this journal for many years to come.
It's got to be really really special looking.

What content must be included in the print design?

The only words on the cover should be:

Also, the logo.
