From the designs the client indicated liking, I got the feeling they liked light, friendly, and playful designs. I decided to use hand-drawn elements to articulate the delicious handmade baked goods the bakery creates. The handwritten type makes a more candid yet classy expression that I think will appeal to dessert consumers.
The striped background was inspired by a cupcake cup. I think it elegantly recalls the baking theme without overstating it.
I also used a pastel teal the client indicated liking and contrasted it against a neutral chocolate brown to link to the delicious ingredient. Again, hoping to lock into the dessert-consumer subconscious and tell them "EAT HERE, you know you want to"
