With the disastrous unemployment numbers being reported every week, everyone is desperately trying to find a solution. Every demographic cohort is affected by the lack of jobs and none, I'm sure, any more so than those who are approaching retirement years. This article explains one reason why older workrs are much more vulnerable to being laid off than their younger conterparts. However, I point to one aspect of the employment situation that management must be very careful to consider and that is that the computer can provide memory but it cannot replace interpretive wisdom.
