The director of a psuedo science fiction B-movie wanted me to create a wooden hand for this character that would be printed onto a postcard as a DVD insert. I created the hand out of images of trees and branches and superimposed it onto this photo. That proved difficult because of the dog's fur, but I was able to make the effect seamless. The director also wanted the man to have a gigantic, unusual cartoony smile, which I also did. There were many other additions to the photo. Also the background and other person in the photo were not in the original photo.
The only effect I did not make on the final image is the size of the dog's eyes, which the director added himself.
