BFI wanted a poster/brochure to promote its science fiction film festival.
I used the film projector imagery to evoke the stereotypical notion of a sci-fi film of a UFO descending onto earth to abduct humans. The concept is playful and the high contrast of colour helps the title stand out.
The poster works well on the cover side as one striking image and the body copy is formatted with great detail on the other to give it a brochure look and feel.
