Minneapolis Public Schools Transportation Services
Minneapolis Public Schools is the largest district in the state, serving 34,000 students. Transporting these students requires not only driving safety skills and the proper licensing, but also crowd management, diplomacy with parents, and sensitivity to the many languages, cultures and special needs of a diverse student population. I was hired to create training manuals and policy manuals for the Transportation Services department, including development of a series of icons to facilitate information retention. I also developed incentives for on-time registration of students, and wrote parent communications.
