Solaris’ frame is made out of 100% recycled aluminum and it has a powder coated finish in order to disperse heat from the main surface. The internal substructures for the solar panels are made from wood to reduce weight and cost without compromising rigidity. The spun base is made of aluminum which makes it recyclable and the wood substructure is 100% biodegradable. The PC board is molded from corn-based epoxy resins which take days to biodegrade in a landfill versus hundreds and thousands of years for petroleum based materials.
