Why are there so many tequilas that only simply claim to be ultra premium? At Mejor, we believe "ultra premium" is much more than just a sticker on a bottle. It should mean the best in aroma, taste, finish and most importantly, undeniable quality you can taste sip after sip. Mejor's fanatical commitment to micro-batch production, investment in post-distillation finishing and using only our family's single estate 100% blue agave produces the smoothest, best tasting tequila to come out of Mexico. Hands down. Mejor NEVER mass produces and believes the only way to control quality is through micro-batch production. In fact, Mejor batches range only between 3,000 and 14,000 bottles- perfected by our world famous master distiller. Each bottle of Mejor always shows the date it was bottled, the batch it came from and its own individual bottle number. Now this... is ultra premium.

Background

Mejor® is an ultra premium brand founded in 2007. The founders of the Mejor Tequila Company have a mature understanding and long association with tequila. In fact, the art of cultivating premium quality (weber) blue agave has been in the family since the mid 1900's. Because Mejor has control over its own blue agave, each plant can be hand selected for harvest based on maturity, sugar content, quality, and other factors. The family estate fields of Mejor are located in a region of Mexico called "Los Altos de Jalisco" - Between the towns of Atotonilco el Alto and Arandas, known for the rich red soils and tame arid microclimate which consistently yields the best crop of tall majestic blue agave.

How is Mejor different?

Mejor® distinguishes itself by focusing on top quality micro-batch production, providing enough time to meticulously distill and uncover the smoothness in tequila. Mejor is not a mass-produced tequila and never will be. Mejor's focus is on producing only the highest quality tequila without ever sacrificing for economy of scale, even if it takes longer to produce and is more costly to produce. Mejor invests up to 40 days of additional proprietary filtering and processing steps after distillation designed to remove unwanted alcohol vapors and impurities that could detract from the tequila taste. Once the tequila has reached an uncompromising level of smoothness and clarity, as only dictated by our master distiller, bottling or aging can commence. Building a great brand requires the assembly of talented people. For this reason, Mejor's team includes master distiller Ing. Marco Cedano Nuñez, who perfected his talents master distilling world famous Don Julio tequilas. In joining Mejor, Ing. Cedano Nuñez was challenged to continue to perfect his art, and to produce the smoothest tequila yet, starting with his personal hand- selection of the best mature agave from Mejor's estate.

Describe the target audience for your package graphics

We aim for this product to be the go-to tequila for women and appeal to what they value and desire. Our pink tequila is sophisticated, flirty, clean, modern with an emphasis on top quality materials in glass, packaging and closures. Crafted using 100% private-estate highland blue agave of the highest quality, Mejor Pink is a Mejor Blanco tequila dressed up with a natural vibrant pink hue, contemporary packaging and the perfect hint of natural agave citrus. Mejor Pink is ultra smooth and the official tequila of girls night out!

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your package graphics design?

We would like a large photo of the bottle on the front so the consumer knows what is inside to show off the high quality glass and sexy shape. We would like to emphasize the vibrant pink color and that it is a pink tequila that tastes and mixes just like a blanco (silver) tequila. But most importantly, that its a tequila specifically marketed towards women.

What package graphics design styles do you like?

clean, modern, "apple"-esque emphasizing the bottle's design and attributes but open to all interpretations. Looking for something that will inspire desire, want, aspiration but also something that gives off sophistication, modern luxury, quality and design. Would like large bottle image on the front face using provided images. Supplementary design/images welcome and encouraged.

What colors do you want to see in your package graphics design?

Pink to match the pink color of the images provided but over all open to interpretation and open to design options.
