What do you do?

Ayana uses only natural ingredients for our entire beauty product range. It is very important to us that we only sell products we would be happy to use ourselves, so everything we offer is natural, effective and manufactured to the highest standards.

Although our products are targeted at women, we find that men are also using our products as they are natural and hence not considered cosmetics.

How many sides of the package require graphics design?

We would like to see all sides of the package graphics, and we would like to see a version in landscape (horizontal) as well as portrait (vertical).

List the size requirement(s) for your package graphics design

We will eventually need package graphics for our entire range of products, so the design will need to be easily adapted to various formats.

We have 4 products in our range now, but only 2 are ready for package printing.

Products that we need final artwork files for:

1. Facial Soap - 100g
This is a facial bar soap which will be wrapped in waxed paper. Currently, our facial soap is wrapped in waxed paper and then packaged in a box but we are open to new ideas. I have attached an image of the soap without its wrapping - it is light brown in colour and is translucent (as we use glycerine, a more premium ingredient compared to lye).

Size: 25mm x 85mm x 50mm (this is the size of the facial bar soap only)


2. Facial Soap - 30g
This is the same product as #1, but smaller (30g vs 100g) so we are ok with having the same packaging design.

Size: 45mm x 35mm x 12mm (this is the size of the facial bar soap only)

Describe the target audience for your package graphics

We are a premium beauty brand - therefore the package graphics would need to reflect our premium positioning, natural beauty range and must appeal to primarily women. But please stay away from overtly feminine design, as we also have a number of male customers (although our key focus is still women).

What package graphics design styles do you like?

I am looking for something simple yet powerful and striking. This is a competitive industry so we need to find ways to stand out - the package graphics must easily communicate our promise of high quality natural ingredients.

What colors do you want to see in your package graphics design?

Please refer to our brand logos and colour schemes - you will need to use the logo but I am open to recommendation of colours and treatment of logo, as these are not yet set in stone.

What colors do you NOT want to see in your package graphics design?

Please avoid anything too feminine.

What adjectives should best describe your package graphics design?

Simple, elegant, reflect the product's premium quality and pricing

What content must be included in the package graphics design?

All product packaging will need to have the following:
1. Product name
2. Product description
3. Instructions of use
4. Barcode
5. Manufacturer's contact details
