Give Back
Give Back is our community's way of helping worthy non-profit and charity causes. Creatives have agreed that for these special projects, no monetary awards will be given. crowdSPRING will waive its fees and will assist the organizations with posting their project. We will collaborate together to help those less fortunate. Give Back projects will work just like standard projects, including contracts, wrap-up, notifications, etc. To help the learning process along in these projects, we will encourage creatives to collaborate and to provide constructive feedback to each other.
We will find ways to recognize creatives whose work is selected. Among other things, we will write in our blog about the project and the winning creative, the work will appear on a Hall of Fame type page that we are developing (this page will display winning designs), and we will look for ways to profile the winning creative(s) on our home page.
We'll ask the winning creatives in Give Back projects to propose other worthy non-profits and charities that can benefit from this effort. We hope that in this small way, we can help non-profits and charities around the world.

Creative brief

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Teaming 4 Technology (T4T) is an organization that seeks to better the community of Chicago by providing new and innovative ways for technology to enhance the services of Chicago's nonprofit community, offering free technology consulting, software training classes, and low-cost office and network solutions. T4T matches up technology requirements of non-profit organizations to technology providers. United Way of Metropolitan Chicago supports Teaming for Technology with supervision, community links, and in-kind support.

T4T Chicago is embarking on a website redesign effort and a new branding strategy. T4T Chicago will operate under the umbrella of T4T National, but T4T Chicago aims to design the best T4T website so as to be the flagship for other regional T4T’s.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

T4T is looking for a new logo that can define what they do best – provide technology to those that are in need of it. There are a few T4T sites on the Internet that each has their own logos, and we’d like one logo that can be representative of all T4T’s across the US. The logo will appear on the T4T Chicago website and promotional material.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

The T4T website will serve three types of groups: non-profit organizations seeking help, technology professionals/providers/sponsors and volunteers that can provide technology. The logo should provide a visual idea of the value of T4T to all these groups of people. The audience will be US-based and spread nationwide.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

T4T Twin Cities logo (http://www.unitedwaytriangle.org/t4t/index.asp) – conveys the idea of technology + people well, but is not very modern, T4T Chicago blog (http://t4tchicago.blogspot.com/) – integrates a technology symbol, Africa Now (http://www.africanow.org/)

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The logo should provide some symbolism of partnership and support. Any technology-related symbols are recommended. The logo should incorporate at a minimum the ‘T4T’ lettering, with the wording ‘Teaming 4 Technology’ included, or as a footnote. There are no color restrictions, but blue is preferred so as to flow well with the United Way website if required.
