IBG LOGO ABSTRACT

Purpose:
Creation of an IBG logo that captures the rich history and classic designs of the company while maintaining appeal to younger demographics.

Company Vision:
The I.B.Goodman Company will be the market leader in jewelry design and manufacturing for all of our specialty product lines. We believe that our success will ultimately be measured by the loyalty of our customers and how they value our products. Therefore, we will always strive to give our customers a reason to buy from us and we will always deliver value.

Our focus is to build profitable sales growth and company value by driving innovation, quality, productivity and unsurpassed customer service through the envisioned teamwork of our employees. Our success will enable us to share in the rewards of our efforts.

I.B. Goodman but will become known as IBG.

Company History:
Started in 1937 and has provided family-run manufacturing through four generations to produce the best hand crafted jewelry available. Manufacturer of men’s rings and ladies bridal/fashion.

I.B.Goodman has been styling fine jewelry and creating “classics” since 1937, from our elegant bridal rings to our iconic men’s jewelry. The greatest designs express enduring style and recall life’s most celebrated moments. Proudly creating “classic jewelry design” of lasting value is what we love to do and one of the main reasons I.B.Goodman continues to be a leading U.S. manufacturer after four generations.

Issues with Current Logo:
The logo has been around for a while and was created when we focused only on creating fine jewelry for men. Now we create products for men and women (bridal, anniversary, wedding, etc.). Thus, the man in the logo alienates our female consumers. Logo is too busy.

Desire for New Logo:
Appealing to all genders and ages; also must show that IBG produces hand crafted fine jewelry and that our products are classics. Since 1937 we have been in business but haven’t been known to consumers – only those retailers in our trade. Now we have put together a new marketing plan that is radically different than anything we’ve done before to begin reaching consumers. A new logo is the first step into developing our new public appearance. We create unique, classic jewelry and we want our logo to be just that – classic and unique. Something that people will automatically noticed and recognize is IBG. The logo should be striking – something that instantly catches attention. Logo should be able to stand alone as “IBG” but should also be able to be incorporated into a larger “IBGoodman” design as well.

Things Logo Should Not Include:
Should not appeal to just one gender.

Things To Include in Logo:
Color (Pantone 282C).

Logo Will Be Used For:
Advertisements, product packaging, brochures, promotional products, building signage, business cards, stationary, direct mail, website, magazines, newspapers, etc.
