Creative brief

The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.

What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

EDGE (possibly have "Brewing" see example)

What is your industry?

Food and Beverage

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

We are a US style craft beer brewery that will be marketed in Europe so:
1) Something hip and cool appealing to the under 40 year old crowd
2) Not corporate looking, craft brewers down to earth & very passionate about our beer
3) Visually recognizable on a bottle of beer sitting on shelf with other beer brands without being loud recognizable quality

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

The brewery is named; "Edge Brewing" we are open to all creative ideas. We like the vertical logo idea (see attached) as it is unique and looks good on a beer bottle. However the vertical logo is not a requirement. Because the name is EDGE we had the idea of a tiny rock climber going up the edge of the logo and perhaps moving him around to different places on the logo for different beer styles. Again these are just ideas we want to see your creative ideas.

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?

We are not married to any specific color and again "Like" the idea of the logo being in one or two colors as we can use a different color logo for different beer styles and they are easily recognizable. I am usually hesitant to give designers too much detail as I worry it hampers their creativity. I'm only providing the attached logo as a samples because we thought the idea had promise.

If you drink craft beer and understand this unique market you will better understand the edgy look we are going for but not too hip :)

Brief updates

Craft breweries have a fun, less serious theme. We are not rock climbers and do not want rock climbing to be the theme (if at all) port of our image. We are open to all creative ideas, hence crowdspring so please do not have your creativity influenced by the sample work we attached to the original proposal. It was only a single. Here are a few craft breweries to get the feel and vibe they have. We don;t want to look like a polished corporate brewery, in fact the opposite.
Craft beer is a bit more casual. Below are some craft breweries to get a feel for the vibe they put off

Thank you to all of the designers and excited to see your work.
