What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

Above all, this logo should be inspirational and remind people of a sense of purpose, as well as conveying a sense of finality. Once the clock runs out, it's over and done. There is no 2nd chance.

Urgency - The task that our clients have entrusted us with is urgent. It must be done now, well, and with finality.
Advocacy - We are the advocate for someone during a time of need. They are relying on us to defend them and be an advocate for their cause.
Guidance - Our client needs to get to a destination. We have been there 1,000 times, and are guiding them with expert opinions, caring and compassion. We know the steps to take, and those to avoid. They trust us and rely on us to guide them to a great outcome.

In the logo, the main focus is: "One Shot" However, these 3 words also need to be present:

Urgency
Advocacy
Guidance

It is up to you how you do that. Incorporate them however will look best. These should be subtle components of the logo in some way.

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

I like the style of logo that will get the job done and convey the impact of the message, so I'm leaving that up to you mostly. However, I don't see this as a "mark" style or heavy graphic style like the Nike swoosh. I see it as mostly text that has some character. Feel free to add in an image if you feel it is necessary to get the point across.

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?

We believe very strongly in the message and purpose of what we do. Our stated purpose is to keep people from being screwed by Big Insurance. When our customers come to us, it is for a legal reason. They are signing legal documents. At the end of their case, they will sign a legal waiver and release that has finality. It is over when it is done.

Imagine going to a basketball game and the final score is 55-56. The guy who took the final shot and missed says that if he had 1 more second... just one more second he could take that shot again and win the game. It doesn't work like that in basketball, and it does not work like that in court. You get one shot. One shot only. So we are the protectors of our clients, and they count on us to get the job done.

I am sharing with you 2 logos that you CAN include in the final logo, but it is not required. From the logo you can tell our colors and style but you don't have to match them exactly. You have creative freedom. Use the colors or fonts that will convey the emotion and impact of what we do.

While the word "Shot" is in the logo, and there are circle shaped letters, do not use a crosshair or scope image. We are not shooting anyone. :)

As a buyer on this site I have a high level of respect for your time and your submissions. You can count on me to rate every entry, and to comment on every entry as I have done on every other project I've run. Rarely do I use "No Thanks". I'll give you the best guidance I can, but in the end, the best advice I can give is to give me your best and think it through. Create something you can be proud of and we all come away as a winner.

Thanks for the current submissions. There are some good solid designs, but I'm hoping for something that is a little more graphical like this tin truck project:

In each entry, the logo conveys a sense of nostalgia. It conveys a connection with the product. I'm hoping to find a logo here that conveys the emotional urgency of having only one shot. Maybe a silhouette of a basketball player taking a final shot with the clock running out, or something to that effect.

If you see it in your own mind, you can draw it.

UPDATE:
One of the messages that we want to drive home with this logo is that your "one shot" has to do with medical treatment. Our clients are seeking medical treatment and once they are done, they are done. They don't get to come back later and do it again. If something medical arises after "the clock runs out" then it is too late.

Some of the logos have a sports theme, which conveys the competitive side of all of this.

I'd like to see some that have a medical theme too if possible.

We are extending the contest by 1 week to allow for more submissions.

Regarding the 2 files that are included with the project. You CAN include them if you want, but don't feel like you have to use them. I provided those 2 logos so you would know the colors of the company in case you decided to implement them in the design.

One Shot is a concept that goes with our company, so if you feel like the logo of the business can be co-branded in some way I welcome the submission, but don't force it if the design doesn't fit.
