What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
“Chambre d’ami” is a French word meaning “guest room”. Literally, “Chambre” means “room” and “d’ami” means “of friend”.
This is for an association official website. The goal of the association is to connect people who have a spare room to rent with people who are looking for a cheap room. All of this happens in Paris and Paris’ suburbs, but no reference to Paris or France should be made.
More precisely, people who can offer a room can be seniors or families. People who are very likely to rent the room are students or young teachers, but no reference to “education” should be made. Rooms are rent in exchange for money OR for services, like teaching IT to the hosting senior for a cheaper rent.
So the main 2 points we would like to focus on are:
• The (rented) room : House / Home / Roof / Bed are all welcome
• The exchange/connection that happens between the renter and the person who owns the room. Arrows / Shaking hands / any kind of exchange symbol, including 2 people in it or not
It’s even better if you manage to insert the international dimension of the exchange, because the students will mostly be international students. This is not mandatory, it should not make the logo too complex, but suggestions will be much appreciated.

We would like “image + text”. The image can be totally separated from the text or can be merged into it, as you like.

The association is not called “chambre d’ami” anymore; it is called “My Cool Family”.
So the logo should contain this new name, “mycoolfamily” or “my cool family”, with capital letters or not.
The objective of the association remains the same: a family rents a spare room in exchange for some services, and mostly to international students.
COLORS:
Major color should still be this BLUE: #1E83B7
Second color should be a RED
Background should still be blank white.

ELEMENTS OF DESIGN:
Conceptually, if we can clearly see a family in a house, sharing a room, it's great.
However, adding the idea of exchange between the people in the room and the other people would be nice, here are a few proposals:
- by shaking hands
- if they are facing smiling
- the sensation of isolation/separation of the rented room could be soften too
- using the outline of the house as arrows to symbolize the exchange between the rented room and the rest of the house could be nice
There should definitely be at least 2-3 people in the logo to reflect the “family” idea, and all below a same roof.
The blue/red/white colors are here to recall the idea of France’s flag, so the international/french idea will already be there but still, suggestions that include some sort of circle/globe will be appreciated.
Any suggestion that would make the whole thing “cool” will be appreciated!
