What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
1. ETHICAL IN STYLE - the majority of our products are fair trade, from jewelry to home furnishings, and we would like to combine the look of fair ethics in a rustic urban style.
2. SUSTAINABLE - we also have various upcycled and recycled products, so a more organic look is definitely preferred over a rigid, corporate look.
3. HIMALAYAN/INDIAN - we are a Tibetan-American start up, conceptualized in the Himalayan foothills in India, so we could perhaps incorporate a subtle hint of the landscape or culture in which OLD YAK BAZAAR was born.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
We would like a logo that has both image and text. We prefer a vintage/retro style logo that's urban and rustic in style that has a clean, organic and handcrafted look rather then a stiff corporate logo.
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
OLD YAK BAZAAR is a fair trade startup working with fair trade producer groups, NGOs and small scale, rural workshops to empower disadvantaged and marginalized communities in South Asia, such as refugees, the disabled, slum communities and women's groups.

- Hi everyone. We just extended the deadline for the OLD YAK BAZAAR logo for one week longer and increased the award to $300. We hope to see more entries with fresh new ideas. We feel that the entries so far with the rustic/organic look is not working very well with so far, so we would like to welcome simple and clean, more modern type logos as well. Thanks!
