This project is a logo design for a client web portal, a 24/7 custom web site service that allows clients to log in and access an invoice and view, download, or upload various types of information. The client also receives account alerts and news via the portal and can communicate directly with account team members.

The logo must represent the connection of our company with the client since the portal is a growing and important two-way communication platform. It should be fresh and forward-thinking in design—clichéd or ordinary approaches are not the direction to go. The logo can be designed as an image/logotype combination or as a stylized logotype. In-line and stacked versions of a logo design must be explored and presented. For in-line logo designs, the portal name can be explored written as one word or two, although one word is preferred. If written as one word, use of an initial cap on each word, a dividing element between words, or other device should be considered as a way to aid in readability.

Because the portal is a competitive advantage for our company, the logo must be progressive both in color palette and type selection. Simplicity also is key. The logo chosen will be successful because it effectively communicates the concept with a unique and memorable design. Color restrictions are minimal in that only red must be avoided; type selections should be current with today’s design trends yet have an element of timelessness.
