Pandaloo Lane is a high-end children’s clothing and accessory brand for babies, boys and girls up to age 6.
The collection is sophisticated, modern and on trend.
The logo should evoke a classic heritage feel without looking too old fashioned.
We are inspired by old children’s stories like Peter Rabbit, Paddington Bear, Babbar The Elephant, Curious George. The logo should be classic and timeless but not look dated. It should be modern.
We feel the word “Lane” in the title evokes a journey down an old country road in England to a magical place, perhaps the to the home of our mascot Pandaloo?
The logo must be: warm, cozy, charming, sweet and inviting and it should evoke quality and status.
Colors and tones should not be gender specific, it should speak to moms, grandmothers, babies, boys and girls.
The customer who buys this brand is in the know about fashion and style, they are savvy, upper-middle class and sophisticated. It is an aspirational brand. There should be nothing generic about the look and feel of the logo.
The line will offer clothing and accessories for babies as well as toddlers thru size 6 so the logo should have an appeal for ages: newborns-5-6 year olds.
We would like to see a panda as part of a logo, but the panda should NOT be cartoony or commercial.
Pandaloo the Panda Bear is every child’s best friend. He is warm, cozy and loveable. He is wise and comforting. He should still retain the sweet innocent face and body of an actual panda and all their charming lumbering ways.
We want to see him as a whole bear with head and body but we’re not opposed to just seeing his face as a logo.
We also may want to see and old wood sign for Pandaloo Lane like one you would find on a country road in England a hundred years ago. Just an idea but not married to this.
At this time, we DO NOT want bamboo or anything too specific that would place the Pandaloo character in a certain country or have an Asian feeling.
The look and feeling of the logo should be authentic and rich but still modern. We are not opposed to clean lines and fonts, but a handdrawn feeling may be best with less than perfect lines and shapes.
The key to have a logo that balances modern and traditional.
