What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

I run a small artist management company out of Nashville. My artist is an Americana/rock/folk artist. I'm looking for something simple and cool. I hate the word edgy, but I'm going to go ahead and use it. Kind of gritty, semi rustic. Please think along the lines of Johnny Cash type Nashville, not hats and boots. In terms of colors, would really like to stick with more earth colors (blacks, brown, grey, red/orange, blue/teal) as a predominance, but you're not limited to it. I'm also a total sucker for fonts.

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

I love both image/text, and text only. I'll be perfectly honest in that I'm not totally sure I have a preference on this, but promise to provide feedback and update as I see them.
