What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

1) We do not want business (too many colors or too ornate of a design) as well as nothing pretentious. We're looking for a modern, clean, simple design. For your reference, we are small investment group that invests in VERY socially and environmentally conscious business.
2) We like an image in our logo that references Pomona, goddess of trees and gardens (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomona). The pruning sheers may be a bit scary. More in the lines of an interesting tree bearing fruit or something that reflects growth ... a symbolic reference to how we take fledging entrepreneurs and try to help grow their business.
3) I like the light green color in our existing logo ... even the a little bit of great looks good. See www.pomonaimpact.com

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?

The color and font of our original logo is very close however I'd like to a reference to the goddess Pomona (w symbol of tree or fruit or something that conveys nurturing/growth)
