The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
What is your industry?
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Clean technology is the path forward for society and industry to clean up our planet and improve the quality of life for more people. This is a business to business service however the logo needs the communicate the concepts of community, technology, optimism, excitement, energy, productivity, positive momentum.
Note: Even though this is an environment related business, we do not want the logo to have any typical 'green wash' images such as windmills or trees or globes or grass or water.
The wordmark and icon that we have now is very close to what we are looking for - the sunburst/flower icon is just a bit nondescript. Some people think it looks a bit like the Walmart sunburst.
You are welcome to use the existing wordmark that we have as a starting point for alternative designs for the icon. Or provide a completely different approach to the entire logo.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
If you google clean technology you will see that this industry has not had great attention to design so this is a chance to make a big design impact!

- Note re colours:
We prefer to stick with colour palette that is used in the existing logo - blues, greys and and then one accent colour to brighten it up - such as the orange-yellow in the existing logo's sunburst.

- Hi everyone- here is an excerpt on Crowdspring's guideline on logos - tips for buyers:
When using icons in your logo design, consider icons that could communicate your brand without the company name. (examples: Y! for Yahoo! or the Swoosh for NIKE, or springy guy in crowdSPRING). This will allow you to use the icon as a stand-alone image (on product packaging, for example). For a person to retain and identify with a mark (your icon), a little mental tennis match must be played with it. If an icon is too blatantly obvious or easy to 'read,' the viewer often feels no sense of discovery or personal equity with it. But remember that too much abstraction can be dangerous because your message can be lost.
So this is what we are looking for!

- someone pointed out this icon see link below as an inspiration - what's interesting about it is that if you zoom into it it conveys the concept of networks and linking things together. Our business concept involves matching people who are looking for environmental solutions to people with really innovative and cool ideas and solutions...

- Hi all,
We just wanted to let you know that the buyer in this project has requested a refund. And, because we offer buyers a money back guarantee, sometimes we have to make good on that promise.
To reward the loyal creatives who worked hard on this project and all the others on the site, we've taken the proceeds from this project and used them to fund our monthly cS Awards program. The cS Awards are issued every month based on varying criteria but are a simple way that we give back to the community and reward our creatives.
Thanks so much for participating and see you around the site,
The cS crew
