I really like the following for both their websites and logos. They will be my biggest competition, as my store will be very similar - www.islandcompany.com and www.tommybahama.com I like the simplicity, island vibe and classy yet relaxed feel I get from them. I like simple lines, and not too much detail.

I listed the exact name to use as "La Playa Clothing Company", but I'm questioning whether I want "Clothing Company" to be included. That is the official name, but I may be open to just "La Playa" or "La Playa Clothing"- not sure. I have an idea for a logo, but am interested in other ideas as well. My idea is a palm tree on the left side, with a simple wavy line (representing water) perpendicular to the bottom of the tree. Above the water line reads "La Playa" in some sort of script perhaps? Below the line says "CLOTHING COMPANY" in a wide font. I'm certainly open to your ideas and/or variation of my idea. I would like to have a palm tree in the logo, and maybe water/sun/sand or something to convey an island feel.
Again, Island Company and Tommy Bahama are ones I really like.
