What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

Prefer logos that have subtle or no images. Keep to 3 or 4 colours.

Really like round logos, in particular vintage style badge logos, perhaps with the overlayed strap partway down the round badge like a seal of approval style, but without the tail bits and maybe without the wobbly edge. Also, really like text logos that use a variety of sizes and fonts in their writing, a bit like the words are all individually created EG: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EaoKwEAh0mg/T0Q_lLN0V...

I like the vintage colour style too, and would prefer all shades of blue for this logo, perhaps some turquoise. Examples of badge styles: http://psdblast.com/vintage-web-badge-psd or http://www.vectorjunky.com/collection-of-vintag...

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?

www.cornishcottageholidays.co.uk is current website, but logo really needs to be more instantly recognisable and grabby. More visual and instant. Bit more design needed than simply plain text.

Really want subtle but striking colour scheme that stands out from the usual blue and yellow scheme adopted by our competitors. I love the stripey effect used in the background here: http://dryicons.com/free-graphics/preview/vinta... but it may not be appropriate or work in/with a round logo. Perhaps too fussy for instant impact.

The logo needs to be adaptable enough for the future - to replace the word "Cornish" with other areas or themes EG Dog-Friendly, Kent, Luxury, etc but still maintain the structure and layout of the logo.

Our tagline is: Rest Assured and we want somewhere to feature "since 1970" or "est. 1970"

Alternatively, if anyone has strong feelings about a preferable alternative, I am very open to alternative design ideas for our logo! Anything goes, text only would be interesting to see...

A lot of the local businesses are going down the natural tones, hand-sketched and slightly tatty notebook style. While wanting to look clean and friendly, I wouldn't mind some designs that offer this more personal, scrapbooky style and use subtle but classy colours...either that or bold strong vivid blasts of colour.

Example of company using the style I'm talking about and like is: Seasalt - http://www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk/customer/fabri...
