We want to communicate that our organization is innovative. It should incorporate a feeling of movement and growth that ties in to our efforts to improve community economic development and job creation by serving underserved entrepreneurs as they start operate and grow small businesses. We are focused on immigrant entrepreneurs and would like to have a logo that feels multicultural and very inclusive. At the same time On-Up is a nonprofit serving small business so we don't want something that looks too much like something a typical private consulting firm might have.
OnUp exploits the missed opportunity of investing resources in immigrant entrepreneurs to drive economic development and job creation. Americans debate how to help entrepreneurs succeed but we rarely discuss the highly entrepreneurial underserved immigrant population where assistance efforts could have the largest economic impact. OnUp imagines the possibilities of changing that scenario and provides education, consulting, and comprehensive guidance, custom-fit for urban immigrant entrepreneurs.
