What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

Nacho Gamazo Fotógrafo

What is your industry?

Publishing and Media

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

|| EXPERIENCE/PROFESSIONALISM: Nacho is a seasoned professional with 30+ years of experience at his back. He's knowledgeable and trustworthy, and few things are bound to catch him off-guard.

|| WARMTH/RELATABILITY: Nacho prices himself in remaining close with many of his clients once the wedding/shooting is finished. He is someone you definitely want at the wheel come the big day, but also someone you'd just as soon have a few beers with afterwards.

|| LUXURY/ATTENTION TO DETAIL: We want to convey a subtle notion that our pricing might be our of some clients' league, but that any steepness in price is justified by relentless attention to detail and top-notch customer service..

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

THINGS TO INCLUDE IN THE LOGO:

1 - The name 'Nacho Gamazo'. We favor basic, clean font types over handwritten ones, but we don't want to completely close the door on the latter, should any mesmerizing specimen arise.

2 - A square-sized icon (we're strongly partial towards any form of monogram bearing the initals NG, but, again, we won't completely rule out other options)

3 - The word 'Fotógrafo'. Speaks for itself. Has to have way less importance within the design than the other two elements.

THINGS TO EXCLUDE:

Please avoid like the plague cliches such as cameras, shutters, wedding rings, hearts and other commonplaces usually associated with the profession.

COLOUR PALETTE:

White, black, red, gray.

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?

Nacho Gamazo is a northern spanish photographer with a european/international scope. He leads a team that specializes in wedding/portrait photography, deeply rooted in classicism but always leaving room for experimentation, a soft spot for the latest technologies and a quirky/whimsical edge that permeates our style.

Our target clients are medium to high-income couples and individuals sharing those aesthetic values, with a traditional background but a modern, urban lifestyle.

Brief updates

Hi, folks.

Just an update to let everybody know what we've been telling some of you through feedback. Though we're seeing some really good designs here, we've narrowed down some of our specifications in order to avoid newcomers tripping over the same stones again and again. Let's see:

- Definitely NO HANDWRITTEN FONTS on Nacho's name. The more we see them used, the more we're convinced they're not for us. We're pretty set on the following: Sans serif font, all lowercase, little or no separation between name and surname, name in a slightly bolder variation of the font than surname.

- The 'Fotógrafo' part is the one most of you get right. We like thin basic fonts, uppercase, aligned to the center, mild separation between characters, different color than the main name.

- The monogram thing is where it gets a bit tricky, but also the element with the most room for experimentation. We may have not a tack-sharp vision of what we want (yet), but we definitely know what we don't. This must be an element unique to our logo, an element that speaks about the qualities detailed in the brief, and the simple juxtaposition of two letters with some kind of frame just won't cut it. Don't be afraid to get a little artsy and explore the possibilities. This is the creative element of the composition, so act in accordance. And remember we're a photography firm. If you look at the design you're about to submit and you'd just as soon use it for a lawyer or a real estate agent, it definitely needs work.

And also please have in mind that we're still open to things other than a monogram. It's just what we currently think would work, but it would make our day if one of you came up with something totally out of left field and blew our minds. We strongly encourage to submit two variations of the design per entry, one with your monogram of choice, one with another kind of element, the rest of the composition remaining the same.

That's all for now. Sorry for the lengthy post and keep up the amazing work. Cheers!

Alberto
