Creative brief

The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.

What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

Ride Entertainment LLC

What is your industry?

Entertainment and Sports

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

1) dynamism/motion - a powerful force that pulls you along 2) elegant cool - simple, slick and appealing 3) adventurous and bit fantastical.

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

Image accompanying text: probably an illustrated representation of the word "ride" paired with an image, and an unobtrusive "entertainment LLC" following, or beneath that.
The image should be simple, graphic instead of photographic, and sparing in color and detail.

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?

One likely version might look like this:
http://imgur.com/a/4jHhu
Images 1&2 - we love how the smoke seems to change direction in three dimensions, and would like to use that effect to form the word "ride" as if it were lingering exhaust from a fast & powerful motorcycle.
Image 3 - we'd like to see just the tail end of a motorbike, as if it is speeding off frame. We'd like the bike to be a graphic, maybe even a bit sketched, and not overly detailed, except around the gear and exhaust areas.
Image 4 - We love the look of this bike's seat, cafe-style rear, sparse and even hollow engine area, spring suspension, and chrome pipe. The location of the pipe might need to change (i.e. lowered) in order to help the text flow from the exhaust, and to reveal the wheel's gear.
Image 5 - We like the slightly cartoony look of this large bubble tire, and the large and pronounced rear gear & chain.

We've gotten some great entries based on the example we provided, and we feel that we've got that pretty well covered, but we've got some hesitations about committing to that path and would really like to see some more of your own interpretations and suggestions.

The concept we're trying to convey is for a film production company, and we'd like the logo to evoke feelings of being whisked-off on a wild and powerful ride.

Thank you all again to you all for the great work so far. We wanted to reach out to you with an alternative idea: a train, possibly art deco in style, and portrayed as barreling forward at full speed.

For example, this is a kind of train that we love: http://imagecache6.allposters.com/LRG//10/1047/...
Though it is important that we differentiate ourselves as much as possible from this logo: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f5/I...

We're open to the name of the company being on the front of the train (maybe with "entertainment" along the side?) or whichever placements you feel would work best.

You might also consider a headlight on the front broadcasting in a way that evokes a projector, like in this example: http://media-cache-lt0.pinterest.com/upload/507... We like the background on that one too, if a background feels appropriate.

Thanks, and let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you to all of our contributors so far. We'd love to see more submissions, and we'd like to continue along the theme of the Vintage-Deco looking train. We're digging it very much.

A few suggestions:
We'd like the train to be travelling from left to right.

We'd love to see smoke billowing from the top/back, and anything else you can do to give the train a sense of great motion and force.

We'd like to see a version where the word 'Ride' appears on the front of the train. Either in an industrial emblem or simply in letters --- as long as the word maintains a sense of the style of the train and is easy to read, even when sized-down for letterhead or a business card.

We like the strength and vintage feeling of deco-style the lettering, though we don't want to go overboard with anything TOO dated or campy.

In fact, we'd be curious to see the whole logo looking something like a vintage poster for an art-deco train. Though we're not married to that idea.

Attached are a few such images for reference. Thank you for your time and efforts!
