What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Most importantly, we want our logo to communicate a sense of the protest "movements" we are working on with activists to build digitally. We want our logo to give a sense of inclusion, togetherness, and global reach. And we want our logo to feel modern, techie, and innovative. We would like the logo to appeal to our dual audiences: tech companies/professionals as well as bloggers/activists.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
Our logo can be creative text only or text that is incorporated into a relevant image. We would like the style to be modern, forward-looking.
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
We are a non-profit that provides support and builds awareness for digital activists working in authoritarian countries. Our main focus is on activists working in the domain of human rights, and most specifically, the right to freedom of expression: www.movements.org.
While we really don't want a hundred logos that all contain these images in a literal sense (please think outside the box!), some things that relate to our work include: graffiti, the demonstration placard/sign, the raised fist, the megaphone, the internet/technology, smartphones, communication, linkages, old-style propaganda art.

Thanks for all the submissions! We'd really love to see some more abstract/cutting edge logos as well. The symbols of protest and technology are important, but we're hoping it's possible to incorporate them with the Movements.org name in a stylized way.

Thank you very much to everyone who has submitted a design so far. We have gotten some strong entries. We would like to extend this contest a few days so we have time to work with those who have recently submitted designs to tweak them a bit and to see if any new entries come out of our ongoing feedback. We particularly welcome designs that can highlight our organization's purpose in creative or abstract ways.
