We are looking for a logo that looks good in both color and black and white, for screen and print. It will MOSTLY be used as the logo of a webapplication. It has to look good in a limited size (max width 200 height max 100, without text).
For styling purposes the optional text should fit next to the logo (making it longer in width and keeping the same height).
WrnPro is an abbreviation of the Dutch word Waarneming combined with Pro and stands for "professional observation". The application will be used by professional nature observers to prepare and store their fieldwork (noting the locations and metadata of plants and animals).
Tools of the trade are binoculars, species groups that are often important are birds, plants, mammals, butterflies, dragonflies and bats. Country of focus is The Netherlands, so DO NOT USE ANYTHING RELATED TO AMERICAN/ASIAN/AFRICAN animals.
PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY IMAGE OF A RECOGNIZABLE ANIMAL/PLANT SPECIES. WE DO NOT WANT THAT. STYLIZED MIGHT BE FINE, BUT ANY PLANT/ANIMAL IMAGE MIGHT GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT WE ARE FOCUSED ON THAT SPECIES ONLY.
If you want to use any animal/plant images (which we're not really looking for, but feel free to surprise us), it's best to get some feedback first.
We really like out company logo at http://zostera.nl (also via CrowdSpring). The WrnPro logo might somehow have a relation to our own logo, which is a clever combination of stylized sea grass (Zostera means sea grass) and a computer chip design (we are in the IT business for ecology etc).
