Our Values:

Versatility – Able to treat different types of patients with the same attentive care. Everyone is treated exactly the same, no matter who they are.
Empathy – Patients are constantly monitored. When a patient has an issue, it is attended to immediately.
Community – There is no dividing line between patient and staff. It’s like a family.

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

Here’s what we need:
A logo refresh that takes what we currently have and upgrades it into something that looks more professional and warm. We need a logo that better communicates our brand. Also, we would like to see some iconography incorporated into the logo. This logo will serve as the foundation for a website refresh. The logo should have a horizontal orientation, not vertical or square.

Most important is a unique font presentation. Please don’t use common or widely accessible fonts. The font presentation is very important, as important as any icon you might create. You should also stylize at least one element of the font, not just use a straight-forward font.

For a color scheme, use one of, or a combination of light blue as a primary color, and light brown or tan or beige as a complimentary or background color. We are open to other color schemes as long as they communicate sincerity and genuineness.

Our Target Audience is:
Above average to upper income families in Manhattan and the surrounding area of New York City.

We absolutely must have (or we don't want to see) this in our design:
The design must be classy and clean. Don’t make it too complicated. Build off the current design.

Dr. Layne Martin has been in private practice dentist for nine years. He is a former dentist and surgeon in the military. The business is a family dentistry practice in Manhattan that specializes in cosmetic dentistry. Our practice is known for its sincerity and a forthright approach to patient care. We treat, and focus on, one patient at a time and are not an assembly-line practice. This allows us to give each individual better personal care.

MISSION: To focus on one patient at a time so that each person receives attentive individualized care.

BRAND PROMISE: A smile that improves your health, self-esteem, and confidence.

** We are currently considering extending the deadline. Here are a few of the common issues we are running into with the design submissions.

1. Stylized Font - We would prefer something other than a straightforward font presentation. Stylized to us means, that you take the font and manipulate it in some way. It doesn't have to be every letter, but could be, maybe just one letter. Take a look at this image here and notice how at least one element of the font in these logos has been changed. That's what we're looking for (but appropriate for this logo).

2. Icon should be placed to the side of the logo and not on top.

3. The icon and Layne Martin DDS should flow together.

4. Put some color in the name.
