The Chicago Reader is looking for a stellar graphic designer to create a logo for our new local deals program, the Reader Real Deal.

The Reader, a Chicago institution and one of the country's leading city weeklies, is planning a high-visibility rollout for this project. Your work will be seen everywhere and associated with one of Chicago's most valued brands.

We'll pay $750 to the winning design. If the winner is from Chicago we'll add a $750 bonus.

Update 26-Oct-10 GMT
We're seeing a lot of logos that have effects applied to make the stamp look smeared or distressed. While a light treatment is fine, the logo ultimately needs to look fairly clean.

We'd rather see this: http://www.heffner.ca/Portals/44/Uploaded%20Images/Stamp%20logo%20jpg.JPG
