LasVegasHotels.com is being reinvigorated to be one of the hottest, most user-friendly sites for travelers around the globe to find great options for hotels, restaurants, attractions, shows, and packages for their next trip.
The site is owned by Swiftrank, which is the largest global online travel network, operating thousands of well optimized, location-based sites around the globe.
What do you need?
We need a zippy, energetic, current (though kitsch/retro also could work) and flexible logo design for the new LasVegasHotels.com. It must work well primarily on the web, but it also needs to be simple and adaptable enough (meaning not a ton of curly details) to be used in print, etc.
It can contain an icon if you'd like.
It can deemphasize the ".com" if you'd like.
It should be a "stamp" for our business that is recognizable.
I realize it's a lot of letters for a logo. That's a challenge that comes with the territory and must be overcome.
Who Is Your Audience?
Travelers to Vegas. If you haven't been there, this one could be tough. Focus is on the discretionary leisure traveler going to Vegas for fun, who is making his or her own travel decision.
Assume target market of 25-49 as primary.

an icon is nearly a must...something that we can use around...could be "lvh", could be something else.
stay away from trite vegas references...no dice...by that i mean dice are "no dice"

- Guys. Thanks for these latest designs. Do want to be sure that everyone knows that when I say I would love an ICON, I don't mean that the only options are "LVH"...I'm not sure I like that too much actually, b/c it doesn't mean much, or look that recognizable. We may go that route, but not sure, so please be creative and seek out other possible icons for the logo, and again, pls don't get fixated on light strips in letters...I mentioned nyc.com just an example not as a design guide.

- Designers...I think after seeing a number of these, I have a clear position that gold should not be a color in this logo. Looks too old-vegas, not web-current. So please steer clear and use more standard web colors...thanks!
