We are looking to create a distinctive logo around which we will develop a brand identity for a brand new software product, to be released nationally (in the United States) in mid-to-late 2011.

The product, called Six0Run Software (or just "six0run" for short), is a comprehensive, broad-based solution for managing collegiate athletics programs. It will change the way college coaches do their jobs, because it provides an all-in-one-package for an athletic director, head coach, and staff to effectively collaborate and manage all aspects of their sporting programs -- recruiting, team management, scheduling, tasks, and even alumni networking.

At its core, our product will make coaches better at what they do. Increased effectiveness leads to better results, which leads to winning. And success begets success. These coaches, above and beyond anything else, are paid to win.

We need a logo that will translate well across mutiple platforms. Not only will this be the public "face" of our company -- on letterhead and web communications -- but will also need to serve as a quickly recognizable icon in web browsers, on phones, and other mobile devices. A hallmark of our product is that it is fully hosted online, so our customers will be able to access it anywhere, anytime, and across multiple devices.

The product audience consists of collegiate athletics coaches and athletic directors, covering any sport, men's or women's, any level. Among other characteristics, this audience is:

- Predominantly male
- Highly competitive
- Coaches, but also sports fans and athletes themselves
- Majority will fall in the 30-55 age range

Our largest market will likely be in football and basketball (men's and women's). However, the product will apply and be customizable to any sport that is held at the collegiate level. Therefore, it is important for the logo to be sport-neutral.
