Shattering the Ceiling
This illustration s for the blog "Shattering the Ceiling." The goal is to fill a hole in the feminist conversation on women in the workplace (closest kin are probably the Forbes blog shenegotiates, feministing, feministe and some of what happens on Jezebel). This is all about educating women in the workplace of their legal rights. We intend to build our profile/visibility on these topics as the editors will be the female partners in [redacted] firm and the contributors will be largely (if not exclusively) our lawyers.

The end size will be 300 x 600 pixels, for use on the blog. The delivered size can be a larger ratio (600 x 1200) if that is easier on the artist.
The audience will likely be younger and perhaps closer to the entry point of the workforce, rather than the executives directing the workforce.

Strong, powerful, feminine, elegant, cool, tough
The attached file shows a rough sketch of the blog layout and of the illustration we are after. In the sketch, the most glaring weakness is the shattering glass. We could not do a great job of drawing this, but it should convey what we are after well enough.
The tattoos on the woman's arm are important and we do want to include those in the illustration. Here are links to those key acts:
