These icons represent categories, so they need to come across as informational and descriptive. By taking one look at the icon a user should know exactly what to find inside.

The visual you choose for each procedure must reflect the procedure. Fore example for cardiology it would make sense to have a heart, for dental it would make sense to show teeth, for ophtalmology it would make sense to show eyes.
