Why are web design projects design only (uncoded)?

Generally, different skills are required to create a beautiful design from the skills needed to build a functional site. It's rare that one person can do both things equally well.

Currently, crowdSPRING offers only uncoded web design , meaning the Buyer receives only the design of the page, not CSS or HTML coding (or any other type of coding). Typically, you'll receive layered PSD files and these would be used by your developer when they build your site.

A "coded" site generally refers to a website that has fully functional HTML and CSS. Uncoded websites are sites that have all of the design elements in place, but are not operational as of yet.
