When Children Help blog (www.whenchildrenhelp.com)
A new blog that follows a family as the parents document the follies and successes of their young children "helping" with various projects. Blog posts will have lots of photos, will be humorous, but will be balanced with thoughtful, thought-provoking posts. It will have a funny, positive, light feel to it. This is not a sarcastic mommy blog, but their will be plenty of wit.
The target audience of the blog will primarily be moms & dads in the 25-45 year-old age range. Likely many other mommy bloggers will follow the blog.
No it does not
Funny (kids make some hilarious mistakes when they try to help their parents)
Positive (it's good that they help; parents are teaching the kids good values by helping)
Light (most blog posts will be conversational, not too serious)
Open to options
Open to options, though would like to keep it fairly bright, light.
open to everything
Funny, casual, light.
Website Name: When Children Help
Tag Line: Raising Helpers. Quitting Chores.
Here are some ideas, though these are definitely not requirements:
- Text would be a more casual script, maybe the last letter, or word, done in a way that would indicate a child "helped" write that word
- Graphic of some sort to the right of the site name, showing a mother accomplishing (or trying to accomplish) something, only to be undone/ruined by the helping child (like planting a garden, with the child digging up the plants right behind Mom as she is planting, or other like tasks); see attached pics for what Mom and kids look like;
