Describe your audience

People who love sci-fi thrillers. People who love stories in general. Aiming more towards teenagers and young adults. I don't want the story to be filled with pure action nonsense with zero plot. It has to be a great quality story. Male or female audience shouldn't matter.

What 3 things do you want to communicate to your audience through this piece?

Science fiction = I love sci-fi because the stories are so incredible and yet it's something that is potentially possible scientifically in reality.

Thriller = I love thrillers because like any great song it hits you right away and throws you into a tension release tension release twist tension release twist emotional roller coaster ride =)

Human condition = I want a story that examines the human condition. A story that reflects humanity. In the same way any great story does.

Do you have a title for this piece?

No title yet.

Do you have a thesis or conclusion that must be reached?

Up to you. I just want an entertaining quality story.

Does any specific information need to be included?

Nope. Just follow the basic guidelines I laid out. Other than that, go crazy.

What character, tenor or spirit do you wish to convey?

Whether it's a hero or an anti-hero, the main character just has to be interesting.

Do you have additional info you want to include?

I want a science fiction thriller with a central mystery that allows for great twists. Whether it's time travel, future/present/past, aliens, robots, space, slice of life, war, apocalypse.. whatever you feel like writing about is up to you.

"District 9" and "Source Code" are my favorite sci-fi thriller movies. "All You Need Is Kill" is my favorite sci-fi thriller book. They all have humor, a bit of romance, drama, action, an impending doom of time running out, great villain(s), central mystery, great twists, tragedy, etc. It has to appeal to teenagers and young adults. Something that would transition well into a movie.

You basically get to have fun writing an original story.

All of these examples I've given hit all the right notes on what I believe to be a great science fiction thriller (http://actfourscreenplays.com/screenwriting-blo...). Relentless push forward, central mystery, great villain, escalating conflict, hard right turn in the midpoint of the story, fast opening crisis, great suspense, high suspense, grave consequences, high stakes, etc, all in a science fiction storyline.
