The company has an online community rating and reviewing destinations, experience, facilities, and doctors.

Global, people travel for care from US to Asia, S. America, Mid East, Europe. They also travel from those destinations to the USA for care. Audience is also multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-religious. Most patients will be between 25 and 55 years old, educated, and open to travel. All will either be sick or caring for someone who is sick, or will be interested in life changing surgery (weight loss, plastic, cosmetic dentistry). Audience is also international hospitals and clinics, doctors, drug and medical product manufacturers, and international tourism boards of many countries.

What character, tenor or spirit do you wish to convey?

the name should sound credible, trustworthy and serious as people are putting their health in the hands of the business. It should also appeal to a global (multi-lingual) audience.

Do you want to include additional info?

Must be 4 syllables or less, should communicate value proposition (lower cost of care abroad) or better care abroad(ex. ppl coming from China/Russia to USA). Should be direct, meaning people should know what the business is about from the name. Should evoke an emotional tie to the company. Should NOT be surgeryabroad, bestsurgery, etc. These names a) limit the scope of the company (much more than surgery), b) have negative connotations (surgery is scary).

I'm really looking for a global brand. Made up words are okay and foreign language words are also encouraged. Latin and french root words for example may be useful. Bonus points for words that mean the same thing across languages. Imagine that you are from latin america, europe, or asia: the name has to be easy to understand, pronounce, and remember. Don't limit yourself to English words or correct spelling.

Thanks to all the great responses so far. To clarify, my company is a community of people in need of healthcare who are willing to travel for it. I think better guidance may be to focus on the community aspect. What is an appropriate name for a community of people interested in healthcare? I would appreciate a name that has a bit more sophistication and seriousness – one that resonates as a “trustworthy”, “credible,” yet accessible source for the new frontier in healthcare. I think the name I’m looking for is more of a destination in itself-a place to go and trust.
