Creative brief

Business Name

working title: game aggregation technology - synchronizing the world of online gaming

What do you do?

we're in the process of starting a company that offers a b2b platform within the online games industry.

background information: online games generate revenues by showing ads to the player before the game starts or during the game and through micro-transactions (sale of in-game virtual goods, eg. an additional weapon in an ego shooter game or a faster car in a car racing game).

our business partners are all kind of game developers who produce various online games (eg. farmville, dark orbit) and all kind of website owners (large gaming portals like yahoo! games and/ or smaller private websites/ blogs of people who want to offer their visitors a game that can be played right away on the their website.

our intention is to enable game developers to distribute their games onto the worldwideweb.

therefore we will facilitate websites and blogs in adding the most engaging games to their websites with our innovative technology.

so our platform is about connecting developers and websites in order to create a win-win situation for both parties:

for developers: who can concentrate on programming new games instead of focussing on the distribution of their game

for websites: who can offer new/ additional content to their users and monetize their websites.

currently different technical requirements on both ends are complicating the situation and make it very difficult to connect. so we will offer a "write once" and "deploy everywhere" platform within the industry.

business model: the revenues that are being generated (as described above) will be shared between the developer, the website owner and us.

Do you require that a .COM, .ORG or other URL be available?

we're an internet company based in europe/ germany. so preferably popular domains in europe and also worldwide need to be available (.com, .de, .net, .co.uk, .fr, .pl,...).

What is your industry?

internet/ online gaming industry

Describe your audience

our business partners are all kind of game developers who produce various online games (eg. farmville, dark orbit) and all kind of website owners (large gaming portals like yahoo! games and/ or smaller private websites/ blogs of people who want to offer their visitors a game that can be played right away on the their website.

What 3 things do you want your domain name to communicate to your audience?

- write once, deploy everywhere
- we are a game aggregation platform
- we facilitate developers and publishers in connecting with each other

List the domain names of your top three anticipated competitors

- heyzap.com
- mochimedia.com
- viximo.com

What character, tenor or spirit do you wish to convey?

although we're a b2b platform connecting developers with website owners/ publishers we would like people to see that we're in the gaming industry. so from our point of view it could be a playful but serious name (but not too serious - if you know what i mean...). it should be short (max. 6 characters), easy to pronounce and to spell. it could also be a fantasy name that associates with gaming/ is related to gaming somehow.

Do you want to include additional info?

actually we were also brainstorming reg. a website design, etc. but then we decided to invent the name first. however we would like to share first results of our brainstorming reg. a possible design of our website since the name should fit into the website and vice versa:

- we like mochimedia's website (www.mochimedia.com)
- we can think of a "playful" website that is still serious and motivates our business partners to join
- we're not afraid of colours.
- there should not be another company (worlwide) with the same name since the domain name will appear in our company name, too (eg. yahoo! inc, ebay inc.)

we upload an image that shows our model in order to make it easy for you to understand what we're doing.
