What does your company do?

Our current company name is 'Provident Technologies'. We want to replace the word 'Technologies' ideally with a one or two-syllable word that does not indicate 'technology' or 'data'.

Our consulting company helps clients make better decisions with their data. We'd like to move from a consulting to more of a product based company in the future. We specialize in what's called 'business intelligence'. Our differentiator is that we have a great deal of experience both in industry and technology are results-driven. We combine data from multiple locations to help clients make better decisions. We also offer predictive analytics.

Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?

I will accept a .com with an acceptable variation on the exact name

What is your industry?

Software and InfoTech

Describe your customers

Larger companies with lots of data, often in multiple places in the organization. We meet often with CEO's, CFO's and division leaders.

What 3 things do you want your company name to communicate to your customers?

Experience, results, quality.

List the names of your top three competitors

Most of our competitors approach the solution with technology. We want to lead with business and let technology be one piece of the whole solution.

What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?

Experience, excellence, problem solving, results, RIO

Are there specific words or phrases you do not like?

Technologies, solutions, purpose, outcomes, guidance, foresight, planning, analytics, metrics, link, change, sense. ideas, direction, decisions, outlook, performance, projects, view, point, thoughts, minds, partners, approach, management, leadership, software, business, approach, company, partners, inc.,trust, consulting, way, proof, purpose, conversations

Are there specific words or phrases you like?

Provident. Our current company name is 'Provident Technologies'. We want to replace 'Technologies' with a non-technical term. The word 'Provident' is so strong, that most anything paired with it takes away from Provident. Something like 'Provident Group' or 'Provident Solutions' doesn't take away from 'Provident', but 'Provident Outcomes' or 'Provident Decisions' does take away from the strength of the core word of 'Provident'

Do you have other info you want to share?

I'd like the word chosen to replace 'Technologies' which has little meaning or significance, so as to not take away from the strength of the word 'Provident'. One or two syllables would be best but we would consider something longer.

PLEASE submit terms the following format: Provident XYZ

Some are posting ProvidentXYZ, ProvidentXYZ.com, or just XYZ and there are too many duplicates. If there are duplicates, I'll choose the winner who uses the format above. Thanks you!

I'm getting so many submissions for words that are similar to our 'exclude' list. We need the word to be somewhat of a 'non-word'. For example, if you were designing a logo for 'Provident Insight', you would pull out the 'eye' in insight because its a strong word.

However, for terms like 'Provident Corp', or 'Provident Technologies', the word 'Provident' stands out. Please think of non-descript words if possible, like 'Provident One' (taken). Our new logo will represent 'movement', so subtle words related to that are possible.
