Creative brief

The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.

What does your company do?

We specialize in high-end residential design primarily in a ski resort community in Colorado. Additionally, we design churches and schools that are located more broadly including larger cities. We have a focus on sustainable design principles. We are on the cutting edge of technology in architectural firms. We put a strong emphasis on client communication. As good designers, we are well versed at combining functional planning with beautiful forms. Our design style is mountain, but leaning towards a modern style as well.

Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?

Yes we will need this!

What is your industry?

Consulting and Professional Services

Describe your customers

1. Affluent families building second homes in a resort community
2. Church boards expanding their existing conditions
3. Public or private schools looking to add educational value to their physical surroundings
4. Those interested in green design and sustainable practices

What 3 things do you want your company name to communicate to your customers?

Professional, clean and modern, functional design

List the names of your top three competitors

Vertical Arts / Kelly and Stone, Architecture / Eric Smith, Architects

What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?

Professional, tech-y design

Are there any words or phrases you especially like or hate?

Not really. Don't want the name of the company to simply be the owner's name.

Do you have other info you want to share?

Needs to be obvious that this is an Architecture Firm. For example, "Vertical Arts" is pushing the limit on this.

Using halves of words to make new words is not exactly what we're looking for. Sorry I didn't specify this earlier, but I guess I didn't know until now! Also, the name could (but doesn't have too) include a play on a church term or meaning, too?

Just a thought, we were kind of thinking that something related to "light" would be interesting. Evoking the images of light, or natural daylighting into the designed spaces, or the upbeat feeling that light brings, etc.
