We are a web development consulting firm that offers custom web development consulting services as well as semi-custom websites for professional businesses (e.g., law firms and doctor offices). We are essentially a consulting firm however we offer a software as a service SAAS solution beyond our offerings of just custom website/webapp creation (consulting).
dot com only. If the name is especially good but the dot com is not available, we would consider adding, for example, a "the" in front of the business name, or "company" at the end, but a dot com domain name is essential. The domain name MUST be included with the business name proposal (we will consider your creativity here, but the domain name may only be a dot coms )!
Software and InfoTech
Our customers are smart, sophisticated and not that technologically inclined. We are essentially a consulting firm however we want to portray a web software company.
our brand, which is technology, precision, scientific/analytical
acquia.com, lullabot.com, www.amazeelabs.com/en
I want to convey a web development consulting company that is analytical, reliable, secure, precise in its work, scientific even, but available/able to communicate with people not technologically inclined.
We are a new company but we want to portray a company that is safe, reliable and secure, not a new web 2.0 startup that will be gone tomorrow.
We want to position ourselves as a SAAS provider (well past web 2.0) but not scare away those that are not technology wizards (we should be accessible to the layperson).
I am skeptical or Web 2.0 type names, e.g., heroku.com, however, I will consider them as I want our name to be our brand. For example, Jeff Bezos wanted to have a big online store. The business name he chose was "Amazon"--a big rainforest.
The name should not sound too young, cheap or cheesy.
The business name will be our brand.
