Enform is the health and safety association for Canada's upstream oil and gas industry.
We are developing a consumer-type service magazine focused on our core business: creating safer workplaces and a culture of health and safety in the upstream energy sector. We're searching a effective and creative name for our publication, which will be aimed at workers in the industry.
Content will be approachable, trustworthy, informative and educational. A straightforward and concise tone will impart confidence and assured authority without being directive or paternalistic. We will encourage, rather than demand, reader engagement by providing information that is applicable and easy to understand. Where appropriate, stories will include a clear call to action and provide additional sources of information.
Thorough design, copy and graphics, stories will clearly identify the audience being targeted.

We want our magazine to have a strong male focus without ignoring women. For the purposes of this exercise, our magazine's personality will be: Smart, sharp and confident. We want to be informative but not preachy, supportive not directive. We have a quick and well honed wit, and fully understand that people learn and remember best when they're enjoying what they doing. We're adventurous and outgoing but never reckless. We're not afraid to do daring and even dangerous pursuits, but we assess the risks, get the training and wear the gear before jumping into them. We look out for ourselves and have the backs of the people we work with.
